Meeting - Roy Hoffman 1-18-09
In attendance; Bill Fraley, Bert Mahr, Frank Titman, Barry Mertz, Dave and Carla
Heine and Roy and Peg Hoffman.
We spent several hours running trains on Roy’s magnificent Penn Western S scale
model railroad. Since our last visit, Roy had torn down a wall and enlarged the
center part of his beautiful - monstrous pike, opening up the entire view of his
Penn Western layout.
There were at least two–three trains running at the same time with little operational
attention from Roy. As usual Peg had baked some great Brownies, plus plenty of coffee,
soft drinks and other snacks readily available.
Because of the oncoming Eagle- Cardinal NFC Championship game coming on we called
for the business meeting early.
We once again had a great Italian dinner at the Villa Rosa Restaurant at the SR947
and Route 11 intersection.
