Meeting - Barry Mertz 05-17-09
Due to the lack of enough members, there was no formal meeting. We did get to run a number of trains on Barry's new railroad. We found some track anomalies that we attempted to repair on the spot. We also found out that brass locos that have coasting gearboxes 'let loose' going downhill with a train behind. They really FLY!!!!
Jamie and his dad dropped in to see the RR. They didn't stay long and we continued our troubleshooting.
As the day went on, things were operating better and better. We ran at least four different locos and cars with success. We figure we were ahead of the game so..... we went out to dinner and had a good time there too!!
